A repair shop that writes its own software

Supercanic started as an auto repair and mobile mechanic business. The software came later, because nothing we could buy did the job properly.

We run shops. That is where this started and it is still what pays the bills. Somewhere along the way we got tired of watching good customers walk because a phone rang out at six in the evening, or because a quote arrived as a number scribbled on a card with no explanation attached to it.

So we built the desk we wanted. Missed calls that text back on their own. A job page the customer can open without a password. Photos on every repair. One signature that approves the price and authorizes the work. Card payment from the same link. It is called Shop Desk and independent shops around the country now run on it.

Why Detroit

Because the Motor City deserves better than a dealer service department and a coin flip. There are excellent independent mechanics all over this metro. Most of them are invisible online next to a franchise with an ad budget, and most of them are stuck doing paperwork at nine at night instead of resting.

Our answer is to pick one great local tech, give them the whole desk and stand behind the work. In Metro Detroit that tech is Ron T. of Manko Mobile Automotive. He fixes the cars. We handle everything else.

What we promise

You get a written quote before anything is touched. You see the failed part in a photo before you pay for a new one. You get told plainly when a car is not worth the repair, even though that is the conversation that costs us money. And you get an answer whatever the hour, because emergency work and roadside help here never close.

How To Check Us

Supercanic Detroit is part of Supercanic, the repair business Alaina and Anthony Limpert built from scratch in San Jacinto, California. You should not have to take our word for any of it, so here is what we hold and where to look it up.

At a glance

  • Alaina Limpert owns Supercanic
  • Anthony Limpert is the cofounder and lead technician
  • Anthony is an ASE Master Automobile Technician
  • The San Jacinto shop is a registered Automotive Repair Dealer in California, ARD 317163
  • Supercanic is insured
  • We only send ASE certified technicians who are licensed with the state

Look Up the Shop License

The California Bureau of Automotive Repair keeps a public list of every registered repair dealer. Search it for 317163 and you should find our home shop in San Jacinto. That number belongs to the California shop. It is not a Michigan license, and we will never tell you it is.

What ASE Master Means

ASE is the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. A Master Automobile Technician has passed all eight of its core car tests and has the years of shop work ASE asks for. Anthony holds that status. He also wrote Shop Desk, the software that sends you the quote and the photos on every Detroit job.

Read the Reviews Yourself

The tech at your car in Metro Detroit is Ron T. of Manko Mobile Automotive LLC in Westland. His 4.7 star average across 49 reviews sits on his own Google profile. He earned those before he ever worked with us, and we do not write or edit them.

Where Our Numbers Come From

Our prices are Supercanic's posted rates, and the pricing page lists every one. The star rating is read off Ron's Google profile. The photos on this site are real Supercanic jobs from southern California, and the work page says so.
