Most quotes say brake pads and a number. That tells you nothing and it is why people assume they are being taken.
Ours names the part. The brand, the number and what we paid attention to when we picked it. You can type that number into a search bar while you are reading the quote. We would rather you did.
Where there is a real choice we quote both. A premium pad that lasts and a budget pad that does the job for a car you are selling in spring are different answers to different questions, and it is your car.
The checkbox for keeping your old parts sits on the approval form. Tick it and the failed part comes back to you in the box the new one arrived in. Core charges, where a part has one, are their own line so nobody can hide margin in them.
